THE STORY OF A PHOTOGRAPHER
My name is Ametrius Booker, I am a self taught newborn, milestone, children, family and portrait photographer in the Augusta area, and serving Middle Georgia, where I was raised most of my life. I did get to experience places like Cali and Hawaii where I moved due to the military . I have over 10 years of experience in Photography. As a child I always loved having a camera in my hand. There is just something about being able to document a moment that I have always loved. As I got older I bought my first DSRL and took pictures of my friend as a hobby but shortly realized this is something I really wanted to do. I went on to college and got my bachelors degree in business in the hopes of one day opening my own photography business. While in college I got my first job in a studio where I learned so much. My niche is children! I love capturing their candid expressions. They may be happy one minute and crying the next, but sometimes you just have to let them do their own thing and that’s when the magic happens! I love to "pose" people and give direction but I want you to be as natural as possible, as if I'm not even there. Every photo doesn't need a smile to be perfect and every picture you don't have to look at the camera. I want you just to embrace the moment and everything will fall into place. I love getting to see children grow in all phases of their life . I love all types of photography and I am always learning through educational platforms to perfect my art.
